Planting Design

Sometimes there will be an area in the garden that just needs an injection of life.

In this garden the client wanted a planting area opposite the front door elevated to provide more interest on arriving and leaving home.

The design we made included unusual plants and shrubs that will provide year-round interest. Daphne odora provides winter flower and scent, Primula sieboldii emerge in spring with exquisitely cut petals, in summer japanese wind grass and woodland salivia sway in the breeze, and in autumn the Mukdenia carpet the ground in the crimson leaves.
