Horticulture sits between art and science. While plants can be neatly named and categorised, tested and trialed, gardens in reality are so varied that a plant can thrive in one garden while next door they wither and die.
It takes experience to know how a plant will take to different locations and in the end only you and your plants will really know each other. Still, it can help to have friendly expert on your side to help.
In this garden consultation we walked around the garden, talking about the light, the soil, the plants and wildlife that thrived and struggled there. We also talked about the clients ambitions for the garden and possibilities.
After the meeting, we produced a report detailing our discussions along with researched solutions and next steps for the garden.
